Customised kitchen - As individual as your lifestyle

When designing your customised kitchen, you and your ideas and wishes take centre stage. Every kitchen we produce is customised to your individual requirements: Do you want a modern, handleless kitchen or do you prefer a cosy version with warm wooden fronts? You can give free rein to your creativity when it comes to the colour scheme and choice of materials.

Our carpenters will realise your ideas with the utmost precision so that your custom-made kitchen fits you and the intended location perfectly. In cities like Zurich, where compact living space is often in demand, our made-to-measure kitchens are the perfect solution for making the most of every square metre without compromising on design and functionality.

Perfectly planned kitchen units - individual and practical

Every kitchen consists of many individual components that make your everyday life easier. From practical work surfaces to cosy counters - we design every kitchen element according to your individual ideas.
Examples of kitchen elements that we frequently realise for our customers:

  • Kitchen island: A kitchen island offers additional workspace and storage space. It can serve as a cooking centre with hob and sink or be designed as a dining area for the whole family. Kitchen islands are particularly suitable for open-plan kitchen concepts and create a link between the kitchen and living area.

  • Bar or counter: Whether for breakfast, a quick coffee or as a place for guests while cooking - an integrated bar offers a variety of uses.

  • Integrated table: If the dining area is to be integrated directly into the kitchen, a built-in table is a good option. This can be planned either as an extension of the worktop or as a separate element.

  • Storage space solutions: Storage space is important in every kitchen. Whether classic base units, tall larder units or clever niche solutions - we plan the storage space so that it is optimally utilised. Hidden shelves or pull-out systems can also be integrated.

Each of these elements is customised to your needs and integrated into the overall kitchen plan. The result is a kitchen that is not only visually appealing, but also functional.

The path to the ideal, personalised kitchen

Colour design and handleless kitchen

Your dream kitchen starts with the details

The choice of colour scheme plays a decisive role in defining the atmosphere of your kitchen.

Do you prefer a monochrome kitchen that gives a harmonious and calm impression, or do you want to set accents and create contrasts by combining several colours?

Equally important is the decision as to whether your kitchen should be designed with or without handles. Handleless kitchens are characterised by a modern and minimalist design, while handles can create functional and stylish accents.

Think about what best suits your style and your needs.

Kitchen islands, bars and dining counters

Functional highlights for your kitchen

A modern kitchen is more than just a place to cook. Would you like to add a bar, counter, island or table to your kitchen?

A kitchen island not only provides extra storage space and work surface, but often becomes the centrepiece of the kitchen where family and friends gather.

A bar or counter, on the other hand, creates a casual atmosphere, ideal for quick meals or a cosy drink in the evening.

An integrated table can move the dining area directly into the kitchen, ensuring short distances. Consider which of these options best complements your lifestyle.

Shopping and cooking behaviour

Your kitchen - customised to your lifestyle

The design of your kitchen should be based on your personal shopping and cooking behaviour. Do you regularly buy large quantities that require a lot of storage space, or do you prefer to do smaller purchases more frequently?

How often do you cook? Every day, only at the weekend or rather rarely? These considerations help us to plan the perfect kitchen for you, one that matches your everyday habits and makes cooking easier for you.

Your device selection

Modern technology for your dream kitchen

Which kitchen appliances are essential for you? Whether it's a hob and oven, a hob with integrated extractor, dishwasher, fridge, microwave or steam cooker - the selection of appliances should be tailored precisely to your needs. You may also need special appliances such as a washing machine or tumble dryer near your kitchen.

Think about which functions are important to you in everyday life so that we can equip your kitchen perfectly.

The ideal kitchen shape

The right shape for your kitchen

The shape of your kitchen is crucial for the flow of work and the utilisation of space. Depending on the size and layout of your room, there are various options for designing the kitchen:

  • Single-line kitchen: ideal for narrow spaces where everything is arranged in one line.
  • Two-line kitchen: Offers more storage space and work surface by utilising two parallel lines.
  • L-shape: Utilises two walls and creates an efficient work triangle arrangement.
  • U-shape: Maximises space and provides plenty of storage and work surface by utilising three walls.
  • G-shape: An extension of the U-shape that provides additional work and storage space, often through an integrated island.

The aspects of a modern kitchen

Perfectly realised with Adora Design - your Swiss joinery

Innovative kitchen island

In modern kitchen planning, the kitchen island plays a central role, not only functionally, but also as a statement piece.

Moving away from the traditional, central placement, designers today rely on innovative positioning of the island to redefine spaces and optimise the workflow.

A corner placement, for example, makes it possible to dynamically segment the space while offering more freedom of movement. A flowing, diagonal arrangement, on the other hand, can direct the eye and visually expand rooms.

Focus on details and perfection

In the world of design and craftsmanship, it is often the unspoken focus on detail that distinguishes true masterpieces from everyday objects.

Whilst the overall picture gives a first impression, it is the subtle nuances and carefully considered elements that reveal true perfection. Every carefully placed seam, every carefully selected texture and every precise cut edge contribute to creating an overall picture that captivates and fascinates the viewer.

Practical and beautiful at the same time

There is a common perception that functionality and aesthetics are often at odds with each other. But true design masterpieces combine both aspects in harmonious unity. When something is not only aesthetically pleasing but also well thought out in terms of its function, it increases the value and satisfaction of everyday use.

A carefully designed component that is both practical and beautiful shows that every decision in the design process is not just about form, but also about function.

Well thought-out overall concept

A well thought-out overall concept goes far beyond the mere combination of individual ideas or elements.

It is the harmonious interplay of function, aesthetics and intention that creates a harmonious and coherent picture. Every detail, no matter how small, is chosen and placed with the bigger picture in mind.

This holistic approach ensures that all components flow seamlessly into one another and provide a consistent experience for the user or viewer.

A well-thought-out overall concept is often the result of intensive research, planning and reflection, and it reflects the care and passion that has been put into a project.
